MOTM: FEBRUARY

Patrick Monchamp
I’ve been serving in this community for over 5 years now, and in that time I have served in Kids for Christ as well. In my time of service I have built friendships much stronger than any I have ever had before, and those friendships have lasted the test of time. I love how accepting YFC is. I’ve never once felt as though I was unwanted or just a face, but I honestly believe people try to get to know YOU, not just your name. I love YFC because there are so many opportunities to serve God in so many unique ways, really allowing you to make the most of all your talents and abilities or giving chances to explore other paths that maybe you didn’t think of before. Whether you like playing with kids or just want to go back to that carefree time, there is KFC. If you want to be more mature, there are plenty of opportunities to serve in YFC, showing your talents in music, dance, athletics, and anything you could possibly think of. I encourage everyone to really use your talents in whatever way possible to bring yourself and others closer to God, just talk to your Household Head or any one of the leaders, I can guarantee there is something in YFC for you!

Lilibelle Simbulan
Out of all the wonderful Christian communities out there in the world, I am so blessed to be part of this community of CFC and its family ministries. I was 6 years old when I joined Kids for Christ and my parents joined Couples for Christ. Now I am 17 turning 18 and going on my 13th year in the community. I love everything from the little meetings at the office to the big conferences around Canada with all the general assemblies, talks, teaching, fellowships, etc. in between. I love the fact that I was introduced to God and Jesus at an early age and how He has been my guide ever since. I love how my fondest memories are from CFC related events and how my closest friends are all in YFC. The family environment that this community provides is another wonderful thing that I love so much. Although I’m an only child, the community has blessed me with many older brothers and older sisters that I can look up to and many little brothers and sisters to be a good role model for. The titos and titas constantly inspire me to keep serving God and I’m blessed to have such dedicated and supportive parents as well. The list can go on and on but I think the readers get the picture haha. I hope and pray that God will continue to bless our community so that we may grow together in unity and strength.

*Congratulations to Lilibelle Simbulan and Patrick Monchamp for being our members of the month! Both Lilibelle and Patrick have worked tirelessly in organizing events, being available for meetings and helping out where ever they could. Since February is the month of love, we asked them both why they love the community so much!
